HAARETZ NEWSPAPER

During my 25 years with Haaretz, I was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Haaretz.com and Haaretz daily newspaper's English edition, including:

  • Editorial management of Haaretz.com website, including a 24-hour news desk with a team of more than 50 editors, reporters, copy editors and translators across Israel, Europe and North America.

  • Supervision of online journalistic projects, including all editorial and technical aspects.

  • Management of daily print edition, weekend supplements and special supplements.

  • Responsibility for managing human resources and recruitment, including scheduling a news desk with more than 100 weekly shifts.

As night editor for both the Hebrew and English print editions of Haaretz, I was responsible for the editorial production of the newspaper, including the selection of articles and photographs for all pages and the design of the front page. I supervised a team of 20 editors, graphic artists and proofreaders, as well as coordinating reports from Haaretz's correspondents in the field, analysts and section editors. During this time, I also edited several supplements, including special editions for conflicts, elections and sporting events.

As Haaretz English Edition's on-staff reporter, I covered local and national news for Israel's English-speaking community and for the Haaretz.com website. During this period, I reported on national elections, sporting and community events, as well as writing features and opinion articles in English and Hebrew.

I also host a biweekly podcast for Haaretz, covering Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world.
